It’s a busy and exciting time around the club at the moment with plenty of action over the weekend and a massive week in store after that.
Preparations are being finalised for our u10 Frank Maher tournament this coming Saturday in what promises to be a great day of hurling and camogie. All help on the day is appreciated to make sure the day runs smoothly and anyone that can lend a hand can contact any committee member to see what needs doing.
At 10am this Saturday in Monroe our U16 hurlers play Carrick Swan in the South A final. Anyone that is not in the Sportsfield is urged to travel to Monroe to shout on the lads in what looks sure to be a competitive affair. We wish them the best of luck.
On Wednesday next our minor hurlers will also be in South final action Vs Mullinahone in Fethard Town Park at 7.30 whilst the following day our U14 hurlers will take on the same opposition with the venue to be confirmed.
Next weekend our premier intermediate hurlers will play their quarter final with their opponents to be confirmed after this weekend, with our U16 camógs also in knockout action against Clonoulty at this time.
With so much going on we appreciate all the support from our members whether its through mentoring, volunteering, sponsorship or fundraising. Its great to see the growing support at games and we hope all members can get to as many games as possible over the next ten days or so. It does make a difference.
With so much action on the field we also appreciate those who have contributed to our recent fundraising through the Golf Classic and Tipperary Clubs Draw. Our lotto remains a key source of income and the jackpot is growing weekly, you can buy a ticket online. All income raised goes to meeting the running costs of the club.
All of this activity is supported by the work of a core group of committed administrators, members and mentors and the development of our club in both hurling and camogie is down to the hard work of all involved. Behind the scenes as a club we are also keen to see new people getting involved, be it in coaching, administration or club development- everyone has a part to play and is welcome to contribute.
